      Pros

      Paycheck. Got to travel and get miles, etc

      Cons

      Told 25% travel and really was 70% travel. I get yelled at so I yell at my people culture. Company has moved HQ 3 times in the past decade - commute into chicago is awful. Just a marketing and sales arm of the parent company in Japan.

      Pros

      Hands on, operating big equipment. Product is good. Opportunity to go to Japan. Job security. Marketing Events

      Cons

      Department runs extremely lean. Heavy workload without enough bandwidth to complete the expected tasks. Travel is excessive. A lot of knowledge is gathered by going to the field and getting it yourself. Management doesn’t assist in training you to be successful in your job. You figure that out yourself. Limited opportunity for advancement. Limited influence on Japan with product design. Company is not agile and changes happen very slow.

      Pros

      Good place to work with minimal amount of stress. Steady amount of work in the shop and the field at different mines. Exceptional pay and pension.

      No disciplinary action against some workers that put out sub par work
