Pros

It is pretty easy to be approved for overtime if you are working in a marriott kitchen. For that reason, people end up making pretty good money at Marriott. They also give you a dollar raise each year if you are hourly which can really stack up.

Cons

If you are working in the kitchens, it is very hard to find work-life balance. They often ask for you to stay extra hours and if you have kids or things outside of work, it is very hard to manage. It can feel like a trap because if you want to be promoted, they look at who is going above and beyond but if you are going above and beyond, it usually means you have no life outside of work.
