Pros

Well they are good at lying which you get to pick up. Lying about career growth.. and when you really exceed expectations and expect a promotion they will tell you we have no vacancies. You ask them about other properties they will promise you but they shall not fulfill.

Cons

I was working in one of the marriotts in Dubai.. The pay is beneath low compared to the country and higher management. A housekeeping staff earns 1000 AED while a general manager earns up to 80000 and he complains about expenses. The hotel is supposed to offer meals.. but it offers dog food instead for the associates. They keep brainwashing the associates about working for one of the best companies in the world and they charge the associates for branding by offering low salaries and meals that aren't consumable. It doesn't end there.. if you are looking to get hired in Marriott you must know someone from the inside.. its an unethical process where your HOD confronts you and tells you its not about how hard you work, its about who you know. I bet that 75% of management hiring in Dubai didn't go through proper recruitment process. I have never seen such a thing called fixed service charge in any hotel in the world. When a guest stays and the hotel charges him 10% for service charge it is supposed to be divided equally to the staff, at Dubai marriott that is not the case. They will offer you a 100 AED per month. I have finally made my way out of that hotel and I hope that the person reading this message to try to avoid the biggest mistake of their lives.

Pros

Do not work here! They do not care about their employees!

Cons

Worked there for over a year. The pay is pathetic. Not even $10 an hour!!! Raises are few and far between no matter tenure. Management has no respect for employees, they discussed employees and their private ingomation openly. When you begin the only schedule they offer begins after 2pm.
