Pros

Great company culture. Marriott takes care of their associates so they can take care of the guests. It's a very positive and upbeat place to work!

Cons

None that I can think of, they do a great job with employee recognition, pay is competitive but it's more the environment and culture that keep people there thru the years.

Pros

Hotel discounts are nice (subject to availability), flexible schedules for students (but you have to work a weekend day regardless), really good 4 weeks of training. Opportunity to earn PTO (but you're lucky if you ever get to use it). Company offers health insurance benefits, 401K, etc. Ability to enroll in Marriott Employee Federal Credit Union. Opportunity to work from home after 90 days. A good company if it is for you.

Cons

Not enough pay for the 100+ calls you take per day. Training staff and "leads" are new to the company and have not had sufficient experience on the sales floor to offer any truly valuable information. Company doesn't hire from within often. If you are interested in career progression and they offer it to you during your first couple of weeks go for it because chances are you will mess up with your adherence (weekly average of attendance) since it is very difficult to get time off (so you have to make your own!) The rotating schedules are also annoying but I guess are made in an attempt to offer some kind of sense of fairness. A good job if you are dedicating your life to sales. They also constantly bug you for overtime.
