      Good credential in the market

      Cons

      DO NOT join Marsh! Why? 1) Micro Management 2) Lack of Planning / Direction from Management and Leaders - so hiring qualified (over-qualified resources) and then layoffs - ultimately putting employees / contractors careers in risk 3) MARSH IT / Business Team - doesn't know which direction they are going in 4) No appreciation at all for the sincere efforts put in by associates 5) No flexibility at all in terms of flex hours / flex location work

      Pros

      I've had a great experience working here. Management has been extremely supportive. Many opportunities to work with other teams on projects.

      Cons

      This is a large organization, while this brings opportunities, it can also make it difficult to move to different positions. Currently I am doing many different things, but my title has stayed the same.

      We are very excited about something that we just launched on our Colleague Connect, the MMC intranet and that is a visual career path. Colleagues can now use a very simple template to show their career journey. Our Executive Committee has completed their career profiles in connection with our Purpose launch.

      Pros

      Good large company environment, with good structure. The technology is up to date, you can work remote and can get done all in short time. People are there mostly for many years and they know what they're doing. I love the large cafeteria, free large parking lots, beautiful walk around areas where people use to go out at lunch and walk. They have great volunteering options and networking, support groups. Great benefits, very difficult to match anywhere else. People that I work with are very talented at what they do and I learnt a lot from them. They are

      Very little opportunities to grow. Once you get to certain senior level, it's getting more and more difficult to move around. People are there for a very long time and they are not moving anywhere.
