Pros

You learn a lot working with people from many different backgrounds. You also have to deal with many customers....you leanr a lot about people every single day. I belive the pay for some of the employees is very fair. THe leadership of the company seems to do a very good job. Most things roll out very smoothly and the field service people work hard to keep stores in line. THe brand image is as sharp as ever and seems to be improving with time.

Cons

The pay for hourly and store managers are low. Most assistant managers are in line. Also, salaried managers should recieve some type of compensation for overtime.

Pros

It's a good place for students to make a couple of bucks while they're in high school. Additionally, they are very flexible with scheduling (although I think this is mostly due to lack of an option as the other working conditions leave much to be desired). There are also decent incentives for full-time employees. Finally, McDonalds' teaches excellent lessons in stress management, time management, and flexibility for newbies on the job frontier, which will prove valuable in other jobs.

Cons

It's not the best place for people who can't move a million miles an hour. Also, there's the whole fact that it's McDonalds. Additionally, you leave work every day reeking of french fries.
