Pros

The pay is decent compared to other fast food restaurants, the hours are flexible and it's easy to get time off. There are also employee discounts on meals during shifts.

Cons

There is no individuality in this job. The work is mundane and boring. As far as career opportunities go? You could eventually be promoted to General Manager which I never wanted to begin with. The second McDonald's starts paying you a salary you automatically give up many other aspects of your life, for example higher education. It might work part-time if you're really strapped for cash, but as far as making a real career of it? No thanks!

Pros

good first step towards employement, you are put in alot of different environments and learn to deal with volumes of ppl coming thru the doors and ensuring how to take care of them really well individually as well as ensurign you meet your goals set out by managers. Turnover is high so tons of oppurtunity to move up but do not do it as an expense to your school work bc some managers will force upon you that you should drop out of school n become a manager and make money. Its not worth it in the long run and ppl need to be aware of such things

Cons

people not showing up to work

Pros

-Flexible hours- unlike some other places I hear of, you don't work really long hours -Employee discounts -Job experience -Easy to get hired- they're always hiring, mainly - good/ okay entry level job for students- this is important when you can't get a job anywhere else, as this doesn't require too many special skills

Cons

-the fast food industry is kind of stressful- you have to be *fast* -the overall environment of food -minimum wage pay -Not a long term job. Working part-time is okay, but this isn't a viable long-term job to support yourself on.
