Pros

-Nice benefits, lunch -Great teams you hire for, very close knit community

Cons

Unequal treatment throughout the Recruiting organization, desperately needs to hire Director of TA to standardize practices within the 4 orgs. Major inequality within departments: -Pay: huge disparities in departments- Eng & Sales get paid most closely to market value -Treatment/ flexibility: Some managers/departments are very trusting and relaxed, others you should stay away from (ask about retention & attrition when interviewing). Some teams have flexibility to work from home/ remote, while others there is no such thing -Career growth: all orgs seem to struggle with providing guidance and challenging IC in their next steps Overall, you could be the most average person and get a job here. They don't believe in firing people, which is a benefit for under-achievers or pot-stirrers.

Pros

Can’t think of many pros

Cons

Going back and forth trying to be Cisco or Meraki isn’t working. Pick one Amount of culture talk and pumping return to office isn’t healthy. Execs can’t even name the values, let alone give examples of how they’ve used them. It’s a yes culture, if you think differently or even voice a opinion that is not in line you’ll be bullied by managers. The amount of useless middle managers is amazing, and they bully workers daily and keep getting promoted because of the inside track with execs. The color of success is white, and they get a pass for bullying new employees. Meraki is just bunch of cisco expats, few good most in it for promotions and doing rotations to get bigger titles at cisco.

Pros

-The other employees are all really great. There is a shared sense of camaraderie in the suffering -Good Transparency from C-Suite - Stable Work - Regular Team Building and Celebration Events -They really seem to mean well and recognize that there are issues that need to be fixed

Cons

-The pay is abysmal. Any of the other benefits are not worth what they will ask of you for what they are paying -No opportunities for growth. No annual raise. -Any employee outside of the headquarters in San Francisco is functionally ignored by Leadership. No job growth outside of the San Francisco Office -Leadership is obsessed with returning to office and actively disparages employees who choose to work remotely -Middle management truly is an inefficient nightmare -No cross organizational vision or management -Business systems and architecture are outdated and inefficient -Onboarding was a disaster; very little support for new employees
