Pros
MercadoLibre has always had good salaries, good benefits and works very well as a "school" for everyone wanting to learn. The ownership given to employees in their roles is outstanding and the ability to speak to high Managers and Directors at any level is amazing.
Cons
However, over the years the company has been growing an awful lot, and with this growth they've cut back on salaries, benefits and, especially, the HR department has stalled growth for many new entrees. Whilst a few years ago growth was a given, fast and agile; nowadays, cutbacks and improper organization of teams has led to a difficulty when trying to climb the ladder. Even with responsibilities often one (or two) job hierarchies above one's own, salaries and job titles are not properly awarded.
