Pros

Great people, and a company that genuinely cares about it's employees, customers, and mission.

Cons

I get the feeling that MetLife realized that UX is important a little late in the game.

Pros

I like the company culture of always allow people to improve themselves, people always there to help you, great work-life balance that you could always take days off as long as you get work done.

Cons

Salaries are not compatible with the market unfortunately. The high rotativity of outsourced people can be a bit frustrating as we have to spend a lot of time training them, and they'll leave in less than 6 months. No other complains as I've managed to navigate well around the bureaucracy.

Pros

- Fantastic benefits and good work-life balance (majority of roles are hybrid) - Comprehensive and supportive Parental Leave (for both men and women) - Ownership expectations on deliverables, regardless of level...resulting in a sense of pride in your work - Encouragement to engage and learn from other parts of the company - Commitment from leadership to provide training and skills to grow your career - One of the extremely few companies that provides a pension for full time employees - Stability of the company due to brand reputation and well-capitalized business

Cons

- Preference from leadership to commute to and work in the office (minimal freedom to work remote, sans those who have exception circumstances) - Base pay scales are just at, or slightly below, market value - Cost of Living Adjustments are not sufficient to keep up with inflation - Opportunities for advancement/promotion are limited due to established coworkers who have seniority
