Pros

Very flexible schedule. No problem working from home when bad weather or when school is off. I think it's a good place for working moms. Also flexible to bring kids to work if needed.

Cons

Pay is just average, not super. For the past few years, there seems not much opportunity to move up. But in 2011, things completely changed. Lots of openings right now.

Pros

Large company so opportunities to work in various departments/units. Good benefits. There were some smart and caring people. Communications from senior management improved once company became public.

Cons

Favoritism exists - unless you were part of the "in" crowd, you were largely ignored. Performance measurement system that grades you on a curve does not promote team work but forces people to engage in backstabbing. Silos still existed.
