Pros
Globally it is a good company to work at, great mission and vision and strong values. There are some good communication channels to expose problems. Strong encouragement and support to give their employees a healthy work-life balance.
Cons
The values do not apply in GMS (Sales teams) and even less in regions that are not in US. The LatinAmerican management is irresponsible. There are problems in each country in terms of compensation and growth opportunities. The worst experience is the recruiting process with tons of promises through the phone and they are not able to send you a written offer until you have accepted & signed online. After your first paycheck you notice that they didn't get all the benefits that were promised through the phone, because "they couldn't write it on the contract where you could only see your yearly compensation" "because they were local benefits". Salary payment processes are outsourced and unmanaged by internal teams, resulting on taxing issues and each country's inflation and devaluation affecting the life quality of the employees by not being able to adjust the salaries when all living costs have dramatically increased. The local management teams are not receptive on the employees concerns. In each region; salaries and seniority levels are given not by real performance or experience but by relationships. There is retaliation on complains, there have been open "advices" to avoid complaining. This is worrying for a company with the open culture like Facebook.
