Pros
I joined Facebook about four years ago and it's by far the best thing that wever happened to me. Every day I'm challenged to do what I do best, while driving impact and (in)directly contributing to the overall mission of making the world more open & connected. What I also love is that jobs and structures are created around a person and not vice versa. Yes thing move fast, change quickly, shift around but you get the trust and comfort to make impact. It all comes down to taking ownership.
Cons
The lean structure and importance of individual contributors have created a structure where ownership is key. You don't always get guidance on what or how to do things. For some people this might not work.
