Pros
1. Good pay. 2. Decent amount of documentation on intranet. 3. Colleagues are nice and helpful, from my experience.
Cons
Boring, meaningless work that never gets done. The culture values meeting attendance and goal setting more than actually creating and developing real solutions. A lot of this can also be attributed to: 1. The regulatory nature of the finance industry 2. The lack of pushback from lower management to upper management (i.e. politics/lack of control/lack of cohesion) 3 . The terrible build/deployment system that is based off of jenkins. Its terrible and clunky and takes a million years just to get a basic software project started.
