Pros

Benefits are good. I'd say the money is okay but the rampant sexism and overwhelming number of alpha males doesnt even make moderately ok money worth it.

Cons

Everything. Overworked, underappreciated. Management has no direction and gives the same while dishing plenty on fellow employees including your same-level colleagues and even your managers. Completely unprofessional in every way. No career opportunities for anyone unless you are a young and attractive woman that the team department head likes to hit on ... in front of everyone.

Pros

1. Brand name is good, and also a powerful bank. 2. Training opportunity in New York, where you can systematically learn a lot of technologies. 3. You have the opportunity to work with smart people and embrace new technologies. 4. Their IT infrastructure is the best I have seen so far.

Cons

1. Salary of trainees barely aligned with market average. 2. If you unfortunately work in team that sits far far away in the back office (almost no interaction with front desk), and you are more comfortable with coding rather than talking/managing, your annual salary increase and compensation might be small, or barely match inflation rate. One year may be okay. But if you stay there for a few years, you will find yourself significantly underpaid, compared to your peers hired from the market who do the same daily job as yours. 3. Workload and responsibility is too much for the salary they pay. 4. As with all large companies, bureaucracy is everywhere. You have to make your performance visible to MD+ level to get your effort somewhat appreciated.

Pros

Some really talented people are employed Company is well organised and professionally run in terms of logistics (HR, Legal) Some people share their experience and expertise which is really nice as they are high calibre

Cons

Riven with cliques in technology - particularly in the UK where fiefdoms are endemic. Americans take all the credit for work done in Hungary, UK, India and China. American management are more greedy than bright. Not open to innovation. Old and very creaky infrastructure which is vastly inefficient. Indian onshore teams invent work and are very ineffective. Worst job I ever had.
