Pros

Benefits is pretty much it

Cons

Management is very political and often picks favorites while silencing and slowly pushing out those they do not agree with. Don't plan to get a raise bigger than 2% while Gorman gorges himself on $30M+ annual bonuses despite massive layoffs.

Pros

The benefits are pretty good and having the company name on your resume opens doors at other firms.

Cons

High expectations with inadequate training. In this complex branch they love to micro manage. If they put that same effort into mentoring their employees as they put into micro managing then the division would be much more successful. Micro management is done through digital communication, which is highly impersonal. Time is monitored by the second, including bathroom breaks. They are generous with vacation allowances; however, the calendar to request off seems to have more unavailable black out days than days available. Typical workday is sitting on the phone with frustrated clients most of the day. Pay is inadequate. They recently had a "stay conversation" with employees, which goes to show how poor retention is. They continue to squeeze employees in this role more and more and they will continue to leave. The points we made in the stay conversation have appeared to have fallen on deaf ears... If they're not going to listen I don't know why they would even bother to ask.

Pros

Social fridays, allow work from home, flexibility

Cons

There is so much favouritism at play at shareworks. If they like you, you will get promoted regardless of your competency levels. All you have to do is know who’s ego to stroke. They will only advance your career if they will it to be, otherwise they will block you from leaving teams if it works against them. There are tons of empty promises from management. They expect you to work your butt off to elevate to a higher level in order to get rewarded instead of rewarding you based on what you’re currently doing. They don’t set you up for success, very sink or swim type of environment. Management expects you to be independent and resolve problems on your own just because they don’t want to do their jobs as managers and deal with escalations. Culture is preached but not practiced. Collaboration is a value but all the teams point fingers when something goes wrong instead of working together to fix it.
