      Pros

      Easy workload, a lot of downtime, e-mail was very accessible. It wasn't a bad job really at all, just not that challenging for me.

      Cons

      Again, not that challenging, too much downtime, and there was not enough potential for growth. Good employees were not recognized for their efforts.

      - Looks great on your resume - Salaries are highly competitive - Great opportunity to relocate to different offices if you choose

      Cons

      I worked for MS for over 12 years. I can honestly say that it is not the place it used to be. Management seems to care less and less about their employees (especially if you are not on the revenue generating side). The promotion process is a bunch of BS. Its all who you brown nose the most and not necessarily about who deserves it the most. Also, the work-life balance has gone down hill. If your a robot, you'll do great!

      Pros

      Work around a lot of smart people and you can learn a lot from being exposed to such sharp minds and ides. It's also a nice resume enhancer.

      Cons

      Brutal environment. They suck every bit of life out of you and expect you to come back for more. There is absolutely no work/life balance there. You either are single, divorced, near divorce or you have enough money to hire a nanny (if you had time to conceive a child) and to buy your spouse's happiness (assuming you got married before you took the job).
