Pros

Good money, nice people, opportunity to advance. Office environment friendly in general.

Cons

Too much nepotism and legalism with hiring. They told me I needed a finance major to get hired full time, but then they hired on their psychology-major daughters and nieces who were college interns there. They wouldn't look at experience on someone's resume, only the major and who you were.

Pros

The only reason to work at firm like this is to know that you have a job in these trying times. The benefits are great but you need them because with hours you work getting sick will become the norm.

Cons

You will sacrifice you personal life, family time, outside interests, and possibly your health working long stressful hours in this environment. This may not seem like much but if once in you realize that you are not a "culture" fit you may really hate it.

Pros

Morgan Stanley is filled with smart people that you can learn from. They have a super star culture that motivates you to work hard and strive for the very best. Senior management tries to interact with all levels of employees, giving you more exposure. At Morgan, there seems to be a decent work/life balance. People are efficient and productive.

Cons

Not everyone is as driven as they should be. There is less of a team culture at Morgan Stanley, which may hinder some of the overall goals of the firm. I think there should be more communication across different teams so that the firm can encounter less mistakes. Having a more consensus driven culture maybe provide goal oriented results.
