      Good Place to work - room for improvement

      Pros

      Morgan Stanley is a Great company to work for It's a Leading Investment Bank on Wall St. The compensation is fairly good but the variance between good & bad performer is not very high & would like to see that. Most co-workers are smart & great to work with.

      Cons

      No synergy bertween different business units. Mobility is a challenge as well.

      Pros

      Excellent reputation. The company is a "household name", which gives clients a sense of comfort.

      Cons

      Rewards obscene for those at the very top of the management structure. Incentives for everybody else are minimal, particularly since the stock has been such a poor performer. Compliance is way out of control...ineffective at stopping the bad guys, and a big obstacle to keeping clients happy. Also, customer service is poor. The system is tilted to generate lots of fees from the customers

      Poor pay, low bonuses, red tape, 'too many chiefs not enough indians". Management obsessed with title acquisition over actual results.
