Pros

Your salary is paid on time. There are clear policies and procedures for almost everything. There is little room for uncertainties in how to do business. Your role is clearly defined in the contract, and mostly agrees with your job description. Free coffee is available at the break-out areas.

Cons

Salary should be negotiated well during interview. Make sure you know what you are worth. After you start, you barely get an increase afterward. Any increases you will receive will definitely be below the changes in cost of living. The organization is very bureaucratic and hierarchical. The company culture is such that people who have higher titles than you make sure you understand that you are speaking to a senior person when you interact with them. You are supposed to do exactly what you are told to do. You do not really have the opportunity to make suggestions in what you see as failing, or put your ideas forward. You are not going to be listened to. You are not given chance to make impact. Incompetent managers, especially at the mid-level. Definitely not experts in their areas. I have the impression that it is their sheer success in company politics that keep them afloat, not their record of achievements, knowledge or wisdom. (Unsurprisingly) high turnover rates. The management does nothing to keep people motivated, satisfied and recognized.

Pros

I can't of any positives, the work culture is toxic. Lot of IITians are hired and their talents are wasted in doing meagre tasks. People are motivated to exaggerate buzz tech words in front of management to stay relevant. Due to this from top to bottom you'll see people boosting about their work when it is nothing compared to the current tech boom. Words like AI, machine learning, big data, microservices are used, people ask for budgets and time for introducing these buzz words in their achievements. But when you see the actual deliverable it is just enough to please management. When you come out of Morgan Stanley you'll see that how far behind you are in terms of learning and how you had been brainwashed to think you are doing meaningful tech work. Only good thing is the training sessions provided are from very learned and technically sound people. Compensation is better than service companies but far behind than startups

Cons

- Toxic environment from top to bottom just keep pleasing management using buzz tech words - Working like a machine on jiras and processes. The processes are so cumbersome, more than helping they are bottlenecks - It is like a factory which hires talent from top colleges like IIT, BITs, NIT and produces brainwashed individuals who can talk a lot about technology but have learnt and understood very little.
