      good place to make some money and experience

      Pros

      - great it teams - good and great challenges - some nice developers to work and share the ideas with - good medical compensation and good , competitive salaries for the new employee - overall good place - work from home

      Cons

      - too much management decision starting from ED level and above. - when the time of compensation comes, all the reviews during the year and projects that you work do not reflect the reality on the compensation. - if you find some interesting project in the company you would like to work on, you cannot because you are not on certain positions (e.g. VP) so you cannot apply even if you are entitled to work there

      Pros

      Bright people, excellent facilities, lots of opportunity to contribute outside the core remit of the job; good exposure to senior management from core locations, as they came to visit often.

      Cons

      Firm not making money, swirling the drain, top talent leaving to find appropriate comp in other firms and especially other countries; overpaid expat managers clueless about local conditions.

      A nice place to work

      Pros

      Even though the firm is based in New York, we do really important and visible work in the Shanghai office. It's great to know that what we do actually matters. The firm culture is great, working hours are long but flexible. I'm very happy with my management line, I got strong support from them and good feedback regarding my work. My colleagues are smart, and the firm organizes special events reasonable frequently.

      Cons

      Being so far away from the headquarters is not easy, we have to focus a lot on visibility, to get the same recognition. Salaries after a first few years are not so great, and even though firm management is aware of this, they don't seem to take actions to fix this. Hours can be long, especially if you have to work with New York or Montreal.
