      Pros

      Just paperwork Easy day in easy day out. 9-5 job Rely responsibility into ODM/JDM Not as innovative, and fun as it used to be when it was one company: Symbol

      Cons

      Senior management is not capable, lack of vision, concept, and fearful of risks. Direction of the company is lost, products are not refreshing, and same as before just change the mechanical packaging. Products are buggy and do not perform well. Meetings, meetings, and meetings.

      Pros

      Some great coworkers - I made some wonderful friends Excellent work-life balance - very flexible with options like working at home, though this depends on your department Though there isn't necessarily a lot of room for furthering your career, they do make a lot of education available, so you can take advantage of this and then move your career to a different company

      Cons

      Not much room for career advancement, unless you are in the "old boys club" Over time, they continually cut benefits. They say it's to "stay competitive". Layoffs, year after year after year

      Pros

      Salary is good. Vacation allowance is good. Great engineering talent pool.

      Cons

      Benefits were premier up to 5 years ago but declined to meet industry standards. This included medical benefits, bonuses, and stock options. Pension contributions stopped a few years ago. Merit pay stopped a few years ago to allow the industry to catch up. Some engineers were re-graded lower. There were seven sectors a decade ago, now it's down to just one.
