NHS - Secondary Care - Culture needs work

Pros

Helping people is a worthwhile endeavour. Working inHS makes you feel that you have not wasted your life on something unimportant.

Cons

Stifling Management who sit on anyone who takes the initiative. This is caused by a culture of fear, where managers are more worried about keeping their position and income than they are about improving the NHS. There is a complete aversion to modernisation and computerisation as a whole which is costing the NHS millions in wasted time and is costing patients because of archaic booking, working and clinical record keeping practices.
