Pros

The work can be interesting and lots of nice people, reasonable work life balance.

Cons

Absolutely devoid of any opportunity for advancement, no salary increases for years, very cliquey and great ideas are just ignored if they don't come from the right people and there is lots of promotion of bad ideas from the same, there is a complete absence of technical leadership and management/process often just gets in the way.
