Pros

Great senior management team - Who does not not what are they doing.. all they like to do is step on your toe Amazing packages if you are in management.

Cons

It's so funny... Here is a small example thru a simple conversation scenario of oyo daily life Employee - Boss, i want to do this, i think this will really help us streamline the process Boss - Great idea, we cant do this Emplyoee - Boss, can we do that. Boss - Good thought, we can't do that one week later.... Boss to employee - did you do this and that we discussed the other day. Employee - but you refused to do it Boss - I never said that, all I meant is u cant do it by yourself... if you have not done it yet... it's like you are just meeting the target, not over achieving it. Performance red flag

Pros

Role : Tech Met very smart people and learnt a lot from them. They taught me all the AWS technologies that can be leveraged; some of my team members could tell you about an existing service for everything: even, trimming thumbnails. Salary is reasonable Learn to deal with a rapidly growing startup Regular Town hall meetings to showcase the direction of the company; Ritesh spends a lot of time on the achievements of each of his group, engineering included. Very good Ops team. You see their efforts being called out. Capable customer support team. Their efforts are highly appreciated. Engineering Manager was a very capable person; the effort he has put in his leadership is eminently visible. Minimum Viable Technology, Solver group; he has been able to instill great ideas into the young team.

Cons

Terms of employment are not clear. I did not get to know about 6 days week a few days before joining (my mistake as well). Rapid hiring. They will put you under duress to join the next day. After taking feedback from interviewees, realised that they do not have that great experience of the hiring process; this comes in the way of hiring still better people. Exit methodology unclear; Tech HR is constantly busy hiring and no time for these. Extremely noisy environment for work. EPF/ allowances / salary components not that attractive Due to long hours expected at the office, people tend to lose focus. Teams, kind of , try releases late at night and early in the morning (due to business reasons, I guess). This sometimes leads to errors in production. I expected inter-team dynamics to be pretty strong , but it was not so. It was hard to get information from other teams . This is despite the "Solver team" concept followed there. Because it s a rapidly changing company, one should be ready to embrace uncertainty in work and security at work. Of course, this also impacts the overall productivity of the team. But such is life at a startup.
