Just about everything else. I was hired in November of last year, and the company had just started in the US in Jan '19. They hired WAY too many people to begin with with salaries that they could not maintain. The company has been hemorrhaging money ever since. I get that it is a start up, but the changes were so constant, between our CRM, Finance, Product, and Company practices, that NO ONE could keep up. It was impossible. Without product knowledge, you cannot believe in your product, and cannot sell it properly. Management was great at not micromanaging, but was truly awful at giving expectations with 0 KPI's put in place. There were some very shady practices that took place at Oyo, between owners and management. It had a "just get the contract signed" sort of feel. Now, with COVID-19, they laid off another 50% of the workforce, when they had just fired well over 10,000 employees globally the last month or so. This company is a sinking ship. I would not work here unless you are desperate for a paycheck the next few months. We were told we were let go "on performance", but there were no performance indicators, or expectations set in place. NO warning, just let go this morning. No way to prove yourself. Those who sold the product were either very lucky with an outside lead, or the individual was simply desperate beyond all measure. Find another position.
