Pros

Great colleagues, mission-driven, supportive management, flexible work location (remote). I always look back fondly on my time at Oxfam

Cons

Privately funded so highly depended on economic factors (not as stable as, say, USAID-funded development NGOs).

Pros

It's brilliant to work for a cause you are passionate about, and with people who are equally inspired. There are are many benefits (such as flexible working hours etc) but you are expected to do a lot of (unpaid) overtime.

Cons

There are so many hardworking and dedicated people that the underperformers really stand out.
