Pros

Everyone I met was very welcoming and supportive, even though I was 'only an intern'. Several senior members of staff gave me their time to chat over coffee or lunch about the work they were doing. There are regular seminars about development and poverty where people can bounce ideas around. There is a lot of very creative thinking coming from brilliant minds at Oxfam GB.

Cons

Interns are not paid. This meant I could only afford to intern for four months before I ahd used all my savings and needed a paying job.
