Extreme safety measures effects productivity Good for money, but not great for learning new skills, but is normal for industrial construction vs residential construction

Pros

Very knowledgeable people with great experiences who will teach/train new employees. Also, seeing how these very smart people were in this company for 10+ and 20+ years makes me feel like I am following the right path.

Cons

When the company asks you to switch project with very short notice (like a weekend), you should still be able to accommodate the company's needs. As most of the jobs are concentrated in one area (downtown mostly), it is not a big issue in terms of location (though sometimes you get sent to further cities), but to adapt again in the new environment with new team. Some people find this refreshing as they get a "fresh start" once they go to a new project, but for some people, it could be a challenge.
