Pros

Pay was competitive. A lot of responsibilities. Trusted

Cons

OM would be forgotten when celebrations occurred for milestones. OMs put in many hours and did lots of extra things to be sure everything was in line. When celebratory items, i.e. jackets, radios, sweatshirts, etc. were purchase, OMs were not included, except to place orders for food, etc.

Pros

Benefits are great, availability to purchase shares in the company, friendly atmosphere with some really nice people. I loved having my own office and not having to deal with open concept.

Cons

Lots of extra time required to meet deadlines so work/life balance wasn’t the greatest. Volume of work is high. I never got used to the 40-hour work week required as all my previous experience in construction and engineering only required 37.5 hours per week. Getting along with management is a must or you’re out (they can dismiss you for any whim). It appeared that if you brought in HR on anything = no longer working.
