Pros

PayPal is truly the leading online global payments platform, and as such there is no shortage of interesting projects and great challenges to work on. This also attracts a fair share of smart and interesting people. Also, a lot of positive changes in the David Marcus and Dan Schulman era, with the company becoming more innovative, customer focused and agile.

Cons

The downside of the large opportunity is lack of focus. The company is always pursuing one shiny object or another and in recent years took its eyes off the ball a bit in terms of the core business.

Pros

Competitive salary and benefits, personal development opportunities, strong management, strong culture to find better ways to do things, and strong company values

Cons

Recent developments with company direction has added uncertainty and unneeded distraction. Culture to push yourself may lend itself to working longer hours and less work-life balance.
