Pros

PBG has a fun culture. Their brands are well known and they focus on execution. The company is very competitive being in a n industry with two key competitors so if that fits your pesonality it is a great place to go. Additionally, there are always new products coming out from PepsiCo so you get to be on the cutting edge of new products and consumer trends and you get free samples as well!

Cons

The company believes in "punching cards" and so if you are on a fast track tot he top, you can be sidelined by having to do a certain function before you can move up. Also, they have very little regard for relocating employees.

Pros

PepsiCo has some of the best senior leadership I've ever seen...not only are they talented, but they're equally inspiring. The company provides a lot of on-the-job training, which brings a continual element of challenge to daily work. PepsiCo is one of those places where you'll get as much as you put in...if you go the extra mile and make meaningful business contributions, then numerous opportunities will be available to you.

Cons

There is a little inconsistency in terms of culture across the different divisions. Additionally, PepsiCo could stand to provide new/early managers with more training. At times there doesn't seem to be the level of transparency required (especially when it comes to the performance management and people planning processes).

Pros

Strong resume builder --- opens many doors; you will definitely work on some cutting edge marketing programs, and see how marketing absolutely impacts sales. You will also learn in-depth how grocery store marketing operates very differently than broad consumer marketing programs, and learn how to bring the two programs to common ground.

Cons

"every person for themself" --- this is not "we will do it as a team" environment, but rather "this was my idea and I'm claiming all the glory." Unfortunately, some very good people are stepped on, and in order to rise above, you will be dedicating your life to the company. Work-life balance is lip-service, where HR programs in place to create harmony and balance are not relevant to those in marketing.
