Pros

Amazing devices and amazing people developing these products.

Cons

Stop lying to your employees by telling them the Engagement Survey is anonymous, I now know it is not (convinced I got my walking papers because of my evaluation of my manager). Managers look for sheep to hire so their incompetence is not exposed and the whole system of evaluation encourages mediocrity. If you do your job well and fix the machines well you will not be as busy as those who plod along and do a crappy job fixing things so they keep getting callbacks, productivity in a service role makes no sense, but effeciency does, isn't that obvious? I was a feircely proud employee to the extent that I went out of my way to buy Philips products, but my manager shot down that pride with a bull headed and plainly stupid tactic that goes against common human decency. I also was very proud of the fact that I was supporting technology that helps to save lives but now realize that management on up does not give a crap about human lives, unless of course you're a shareholder.....wait a minute I bought shares, dont I count?

Pros

There are some amazing people here. The focus on team work is great. Interesting work. There is some satisfaction in working in the medical device field and feeling that your work contributes to the health and welfare of others.

Cons

No direction. Worst management I've ever encountered. Stingy with resources including not funding changes that their own Six Sigma program suggests. Very rule-bound with little flexibility available to managers at all levels. Poor salary compensation. Heavy workload with insufficient support and poor scheduling which results in bottlenecks with some poor slob staring red-eyed into failure. An exhausting place to work. Most of the employees are demoralized and miserable.

Pros

Generous PTO, flexibility, work life balance

Cons

Lay off employees in every quarter. Your job depends on how your department works in a particular quarter. Top management always stay safe and it is mid management and employees under them are going to be laid off. Almost every day you will have to worry about your job. AVOID THIS COMPANY!!! I have also seen manager let her daughter work in the company and they weren’t impacted by the workforce reduction.
