Pros

It teaches you a lot about people and they give a good work trip.

Cons

They fluff the whole thing. From the interview to promotions. You work 10:00-8:00 everyday going door to door lieing about performing work in the neighborhood and giving free estimates, illegally. Constantly had members getting cops called on them and citations issued. They promise the high road, but have no way for people to get there due to the amount of positions available. Sales is the next step up, and that's even more of a joke. High pressure sales tactics. After a year with the company as a manager, I finally opened my eyes and moved on to bigger and better things.

Pros

Coworkers are mostly good people, and the company makes is rich and makes enough money to have nice things. "Training" is paid, and it's not the worst job in the world, but damn is it close.

Cons

Incredibly high turnover (90% stay less than a year) and employees are treated as disposable, absolutely NO career advancement, long hours walking door to door doing redundant work in whatever weather conditions. Whether or not you get paid commission depends on factors outside your control. The company meetings are brainwashing, and it's not normal for them to frame shady tactics and outright scamming positively. The company culture is more like a frat house than a professional business. The company does not always get soliciting permits for us so sometimes people call the police on us and we regularly get ticketed and some guys end up getting ARRESTED. Employees are encouraged by management to leave positive reviews on social networking sites to make the company seem better than it is whenever surveys are released. They then frame the survey results on their wall to brag about how great a place it is to work and lure more people in.

Pros

laid back environment and you dont have to do much during the day until you have a lead

Cons

Its unfortunate that they do not tell the truth online here. I worked there for a while as I did not have another job. I worked as a sales rep so I went to peoples homes that were told we where there just to give them a quick estimate however I would spend about 3 hours on average trying to get through my presentation and then getting them to buy on the spot. This is a one call close business. yes sometimes I would be kicked out of peoples homes and other times they where to nice to ask me to leave but you could tell they wanted me to leave. Power speat the first 2 weeks that I worked there training us on how to overcome the issues that homeowners were lied to about the extent on what they where getting into. If you work in the marketing department ( which can be called a million different job names but all the jobs are the same) all you do in go door to door trying to set appointments for sales guys like me. Whatever they tell you. THAT IS EXACTLY WHAT THE JOB IT. nothing more and nothing less.
