Pros

-The hiring bar is arguably the highest I've seen, and I've worked for FAANG companies and several big startups before. -A good balance of autonomy, ability to move and take action, mentally engaging, but never an overwhelming endless grind (like some other startups) -Strong compensation benchmark for this size of company and really in depth leadership -The recently revamped benefits package mirrors what I've seen from companies 10-20x this size (though not quite as low cost as FAANG) -Transparent: it's important and valuable being able to see the revenue, retention, and all business updates every week or two. -I got to speak in depth with 3-4 people of my choosing once I had an offer. It was great to get in depth 1:1 with the CEO on revenue, plans, etc.

Cons

-Much of my learning and growth as an early recruiter or sourcer happened in larger team environments, I think this is a place where you'll want to have your early and mid career skills developed or mastered before coming in. Otherwise the ambiguity will present itself as a challenge to someone more junior. -the company is still growing it's process and norms, but with that comes the ability to create or make improvements/fixes without waiting for approvals.

Pros

- Autonomy | I'm trusted to perform at a high level without micromanagement and provided with all of the necessary support/tools to succeed - Learning | I've learned a lot in my time at Pulley from fundamental sales skills and forecasting revenue to even how to think in terms of growing a company(founder's mindset) - Team | I truly respect everyone at Pulley because of their industry experience, work ethic, authenticity, candor, and respect for each other. I feel as though my opinions are actually considered in decision-making processes even if the team ultimately decides to go a different way. - Compensation | Generous compensation packages with equity. Our valuation has risen considerably since I joined and it's still very early. - Product Roadmap | We ship features fast based on customer feedback. Other companies have touted this as one of their beliefs, but Pulley actually walks the walk. We've shipped features within a week to close a deal and this makes my job as an AE that much easier.

Cons

As with all early-stage VC-backed startups, there are growing pains and moments of very little clarity. If you're someone who can roll with the punches and take more action instead of just being able to come up with ideas, this is the place to be in my opinion. Because there are these moments of little clarity company-wide, there is the opportunity for you to fill some of those gaps and become invaluable.

Pros

Some great individuals that are genuine. New hire off-site. Opportunity to learn on equity.

Cons

The manager often behaves more like a senior individual contributor, demonstrating strong knowledge in equity but failing to provide meaningful support. They tend to take on tasks themselves, seemingly to showcase their contributions to leadership, rather than enabling the team or fostering growth opportunities. Feedback on improving the product is frequently dismissed unless it aligns with their prior experience. There is a noticeable pattern of leadership prioritizing their own image over creating a supportive, collaborative environment, leading to a lack of trust and a tendency to place blame on employees to protect themselves.
