Pros

It is good to have a company like PwC on your CV for developing your future career. Many of my collegues, especially from Audit, told me that they got contacted by headhunters during the time they worked at PwC.

Cons

The managing directors I have experienced mainly did not care for their employees; during a centralisation they admitted that they have already started to look for new staff at the departments main place within the country since they did not expect most of the employees to relocate to the main place. One year later the same managing directors cared intensitively for their employees since they suffered from a shortage of employees.

Pros

If you're willing to stick to one thing, you'll advance quickly. Machine shop mentality is a plus in this firm. Switching groups with in a line of service is suicidal for career advancement.

Cons

Very political. They randomly put you in a group and you're expected to stay there for the rest of your career. Not supportive of trying new things. Doesn't look to build a well rounded staff. The name of the game is promotion, even if you're doing work you don't like and would like to be in a different group. If you want to get promoted with your peers you need to suck it up and be miserable. Turnover use to be high, but now no jobs to go to. A lot of disgruntled employees, that are looking for an opportunity to jump ship.
