Pros

The brand equity, get the name on your resume. At PricewaterhouseCoopers, we measure our success by yours. Every day our more than 155,000 people in 150 countries go to work to help our clients succeed. From Dublin to Durban, from Minneapolis to Manila, our job is channelling knowledge and value through our lines of service and 22 industry-specialised practices. Our Global Annual Review details how our industry-focused services in the fields of assurance, tax, human resources, transactions, performance improvement and crisis management have helped address client and stakeholder issues. Our success in meeting today's business challenges rests on the way we approach our work. We call that approach Connected Thinking. Sound governance and transparency form the bedrock of leadership. We are committed to serving as a force for integrity, good sense and wise solutions to the problems facing businesses and the capital markets today. Transparency and good standards of corporate governance—both in our clients' businesses and in our own—are central to our ability to achieve those objectives. And we aim to continue to achieve them from our position of strength and professional leadership.

Pros

There is a lot of diversity, talent, breadth of knowledge, and global reach within PwC. The network of resources and people are very enriching. People stay more due to the close group of people they work with rather than the PwC name.

Cons

The work life balance, administrative bureacracy, and mentoring are spotty. Additionally, clients come before the employee. I have often seen new staff poorly utilized or guided, meaning it takes longer for them to develop the appropriate skills or they become disenchanted. Additionally, the recruiting effort has become poorer during my tenure where many potentially talented candidates were inadvertently not called back or offers were mistakenly made to the wrong candidates.
