      Pros

      PwC treats every employee as part of the PwC family. They know how to appeal to every aspect of an employee's happiness - recognition, rewards, flexibility, merit based promotions/pay/bonuses/raises. Lots of my friends wish they worked for PwC - they give us extra days off at holidays, spot bonuses for no reason (bigger spot bonuses if you earn them). The flexibility allows employees to meet personal committments and live their life.

      Cons

      Accountants and auditors work a looooot of hours, but this is true of all of the big four. Specialists have it really good here.

      Pros

      Good people to work with and lots of knowledge to be shared! Very intelligent people work at PwC and do not have any issues with knowledge transfer or training individuals. However, management thinks that you can substitute people within certain lines of service and are out of touch with the skillsets of their employees and the needs of the the certain lines of service at PwC. The benefits are some of the best I have seen within the consulting world, however I do not think that travel is counted within salaries at PwC. If you can not or do not want to travel, PwC is not for you!

      Cons

      Salaries are not commensurate with experience or with other employees within the practice. Many new graduate employees are hired in at a higher base salary than employees that have been there for 3-5 years. To have a salary changed at PwC is impossible, even if you do the data search and present salaries that are higher. Travel is a beast at PwC, and is not factored in to your work-life balance at PwC. If you do not want to travel or can not travel, PwC is not the place for you to be employed or work based on the amount of travel required.

      Pros

      It is laid back. You can do what you want as long as you are doing a decent job. The thing I like best about this job is the location, New York city. The office is in Midtown. The Typical roles include modeling, looking at financial reports to see if company's are complient with latest regulation, and it seems like they are now trying to get in to valuing some of the more structured instruments that few people know how to value. The work is interesting and very current.

      Can be long hours, atleast in SFG
