Pros

Flex time, growth, next steps, structure. The best part of PwC is that they are prepared, annually, to accomodate hundreds, if not thousands, of new staff fresh out of college. It makes for a great work environment.

Cons

Long hours. Turnover is expected at some of the lower levels. It's not really a negative, but one should know that not everyone makes partner and that's okay.

- Variety of audit clients available to gain valuable experience. - Able to work with other smart, motivated professionals. - Gain valuable exposure to technical accounting areas.

Cons

- Management is unresponsive or slow to act on staff concerns. - Management does not respect people's desires to try to maintain a work/life balance.

Pros

PwC is a great place to work with exposure to huge clients and important work. However the key to success is passing the accounting exams as when on a training contract that is all you should be focused on. No matter how hard you work, your future will hang in the balance depending on your results. So as long as you are academic and are lucky to be taking the exams at the right time, its a great experience.

Cons

Very structured, you get promoted year on year as long as you don't make huge mistakes. Promotions, salary and everything in between based upon exams results so incentive to work hard for rewards is limited.
