Pros

Nothing exceptional as compared to others, just a big 4 name attached to it. Nothing like a big 4

Cons

1. They hire you at a high pay and then annual increments are very minimal and no growth opportunities. Nothing like a big 4. 2. They don't treat you like employees, the leadership expects you to have no work life balance and can give you work at even odd hours. Even the onshore team doesn't talk to you nicely or have that respect because that's how the leadership and managers have created a mindset and culture. 3. After a certain level, starting from AM level, you won't have much growth opportunities. There is a biased culture. Since most of the leadership sits in Kolkata, they favour only people sitting there with whom they have good relations. 4. Unprofessional Culture - There is didi bhaiya culture. they professionally call seniors of Kolkata Didi Bhaiya on calls, chats. If you call them by name, you might not mix up well and might end up loosing your promotion to the one who does or might end up offending them, who knows.. lol 4. Although they work with people sitting in US, but their hiring is very unprofessional. They hire people who can't even communicate well with the team sitting in US so sometimes that irritates or frustates onshore team, which ultimately reflects on how they treat AC people.

Pros

Variety of work (for some). Young work environment, social. Progression path clear.

Cons

A negative environment to work in, plenty of expectation for you to work overtime with no benefit or recognition. Coupled with such a low starting salary this could potentially leave you working at less than the minimum wage. Wave good-bye to your work life balance. Favouritism from senior management is evident, end of year review process is therefore biased also penalised in year-end moderation if you are working on projects in a different department than your team despite having no choice and bringing in revenue. Awesome. High staff turnover. Pay in comparison to all other UK regions is pitifully low. Role models in the company are few and far between, especially females. You have little to no say in whether you travel or not, not ideal if you have children or other commitments outside work - again work life balance is completely compromised. Some team leads/managers should not be in their roles - I have been bullied by some, thrown under the bus by others, had my personal life questioned and been belittled over things beyond my control. Work can be mind-numbingly boring or incredibly stressful.

Pros

1. Flexible work schedule is usually accommodated depending on your group. 2. Working from home flexibility, but this is going away with the latest IT reorganization. 3. Total benefits package - healthcare, dental, 401k/retirement plan, generous maternity/paternity leave, wellness rewards, etc.

Cons

1. Little to no work-life balance within IT. You will be working on your free time or time off, which is often expected of leaders without any recognition. 2. No upward mobility or growth opportunities. You can wait for 8+ years for a position to become open or be created, which when filled is about "who you know" rather than your qualifications or performance. 3. Major reorganizations every 2 years, often with large layoffs of knowledgeable and high performing staff. You'll be expected to do the job of many roles, with little to no training. (Penalized if you do the job, penalized if you don't.) 4. Technical skills are not properly utilized or developed by the company. Despite everyone having training budgets, getting training is virtually impossible. 5. Leaders do not make decisions, only provide "loose guidance." This leaves you to make a decision to get the job done, often times resulting in getting penalized for it if you didn't do it the way that leader would've liked. 6. Open work spaces. This is great if you need informal meetings with your team, but horrible when you need privacy or spend your day on phone calls. Forget getting anything done.
