The worst leadership team I’ve ever worked under.

Pros

Excellent people (outside of leadership), easy to explain product, decent work-life balance (prior to layoffs), above average pay and benefits

Cons

LEADERSHIP IS AWFUL. Borderline clueless leadership which is heavily insulated by politics of being Utah based. Lack of diversity is evident everywhere. Go to market is underdeveloped and product uses are all unique and difficult to replicate for repeatable success. Absolutely ridiculous case studies and translation to business value limits future selling. Layoffs have DESTROYED morale and rendered many people lazy, unmotivated, or drowned in mundane tasks. System changes and “improvements” have failed. We have a captain-less ship, with holes in the hull and broken sails. The chances of this turning around in any timely manner are slim.

Pros

Good money. While it lasts.

Cons

Qualtrics is a company for mercenaries. Salaries are good, bonuses generous, but the place is run by possibly the worst leadership I've ever experienced and it lacks soul or a real mission (making more money aside, that is). Recent layoffs were conducted in a brutal and inhuman way, with no real attempt at finding alternatives. Top performers were fired, leaving people at Qualtrics in a depressing state of uncertainty ("if good employees were fired this way, nobody is safe"). The ridiculous thing is that Qualtrics sells Employee Experience software too. They have no idea about - or interest in - employee experience. Do yourself a favour: do not apply for a job there. And do not buy services from such hypocritical people.

Pros

When I first joined Qualtrics, it was super exciting. Tons of growth, great office spaces opening up worldwide, Lots of excitement about the IPO, Qualtrics was promised to be a rocket ship and it was exciting to be a part of (At the time).

Cons

Then everything went downhill. We went public, our stock price tanked, budgets were cut to nothing. Leadership continued lying to the entire company, telling us to just stick around for a few more years, everything was going to be great. Then the company gets bought out by private equity, and all the company leadership makes out with a ton of money and 20% of the company gets laid off. Don't work here.
