Pros

There are no pros to working here

Cons

Everything about Qualtrics is a sham. They pretend they are a great company and have all these amazing perks. Plain and simple they will work you till your fingers bleed then say that any mistake is your problem. There is no support. Management is obsessed with impressing their bosses. This is a bad company and the 5 pillars are just words.

Pros

Innovative company with fast growth. Cool company perks, and great swag. Great place to work if you just want to make calls.

Cons

Joined the Sales team as an AE and didn't expect it to be run like a call center. I've never seen a company treat experienced account executives this way. I'm pretty sure not all of the offices are run this way, but the one that I work at the managers walk around the sales floor pushing you to make more dials–they hover over you and micro manage like crazy. It would be nice to get some coaching instead of getting hounded on metrics all day. All they do is refresh the dashboards all day and push us for more dials dials dials. If you don't hit your metrics or "points" you can't leave the office, you literally will be forced to work 10 hours. I didn't think a company could do that, but they do. If I make 50 dials I will burn through my accounts, I don't have that many. As an AE I understand the value in building pipeline, I'm already motivated to make money and will do what it takes to be successful, but it's demotivating to be forced to to stay later based on the amount of dials. I have never been treated this way in my entire career, not even when I started off in sales many years ago. Did I mention that the leadership is never around? The sad thing is the management team of this office knows about this, and all they do is double down. Avoid this company

Pros

Exciting to work at a place where trajectory is up. Revenue continues to increase at surprising rate. Growth oriented. Open atmosphere. Charismatic CEO.

Cons

Others have mentioned it, I agree: if you're not in Sales, you are 2nd tier employees at Qualtrics. That's tough enough by itself, but realize that Qualtrics is not an employee friendly company. Company would counter that with its benefits package (which is decent), but culture is so much more important. Day to day life is dictated by culture, and Qualtrics culture is not employee friendly. Company is divisive, judgmental and employees are first to blame if something goes wrong. It's hard to be happy and work hard when you feel like you have to constantly watch over your shoulder. Never worked in an environment so implicitly threatening to employees before coming here. One of Qualtrics claims is that employees bet on Qualtrics and Qualtrics bets on them. Never seen something so patently one sided. Qualtrics culture is that you bet on Qualtrics, give your life to Qualtrics, or you're out the door. Would be nice if Qualtrics actually backed up its claim and focused more on employees. This is not a 9-5 job. Technically, it's an 8-5 job, but if you're only here from 8-5 then you are under performing and won't be here long. Promotions are so rare and company constantly hires management from the outside. Again, see point about not being employee friendly. Don't think that you're special and will come in and outperform everyone. These are smart, hard working people and most get passed over for external hires. Because of the above, I know many feel like they are now in a dead end and need to look at other companies to move forward in their career. Wages only increase with promotion. See above on how difficult that is. Lose to inflation, quality of life suffers. Company claims to be transparent, but grievances or complaints will be met with hostility and possibly worse. IPO never seems to happen. It's dangled in front of us as motivation, but seems like it will never come. Managers are extreme micro-managers. Does not feel like the freedom or autonomy we were promised.
