Pros

Ability to work on clients spanning several industries. Since the size of the clients are generally a little smaller than big 4 I think you gain more exposure to a wider base of clients and industries, which is important in deciding what you want to do after audit. While still having extremely talented team members that smaller firms generally cannot attract.

Cons

Sometimes work life balance is pushed too far. If its time to get things done I have found that people are not always the quickest to roll up their selves and meet deadlines outside of busy season.
