Pros

Mid-sized firm which focuses on smaller clients, allowing you to be obtain more experience in the industry rather than servicing a huge client and only focusing on one aspect of that client. Can see the whole ball game with a smaller client, which helps in the learning process.

Cons

Mid-sized firm focusing on mid-sized clients, which can be a downside to certain people

Pros

Good location and really nice office. Subsidized cafe serves very good lunches. Good commeraderie among co-workers as everyone has the same complaints. Public accounting is a good choice for burgeoning careers. Flexibility to work from home.

Cons

Wages are low compared to other accounting firms or private industry. 2011 raises averaged 3%, incentive bounes were around $2,000. Management talks to work/life balance but it really doesn't exist. Turn over is high, which hurts not only moral, but client relationships.
