Pros

Great learning experience and good tools to learn with. People are willing to help you develop and people take pride in the firm at the upper levels.

Cons

Compensation and benefits are terrible in comparison to Big 4 and smaller firms. Depending on the location and team the hours can be just as much as Big 4.

Pros

Generally don't need to work as hard compared to other accounting firms. People are pretty friendly and most are helpful--as long as you take the initiative to ask.

Cons

Morale is low. Currently being paid below market rate. Reputation is everything so if you slip, your career will come to an end soon.

Pros

- The culture (for the most part) is great - Great for career growth outside of public - CPA reimbursement policy - Broad range of experience (industry-wise and audit-wise)

Cons

- It only takes a couple of bad apples to spoil the bunch - As with any public accounting career, the hours are long - Most of the office travels - Upper level management seems out of touch
