One Pro and Infinite Cons

Pros

Ability to choose to be in a local region

Cons

Cons Work life balance is actually frowned upon. Over 100 hour weeks during busy season that virtually never ends, and for employees that should be on minimum hours! Overloading Senior Managers and supporting them with inexperienced staff members Unreasonable expectations for performance

Pros

Can be flexible if you put your foot down. Good variety of work.

Cons

Bonuses are not comparable to other firms and often times pay isn't either. Its all about the boys club and who you can be buddy buddy with. The higher you go the less mentoring and support you get. No real female mentors.

Pros

Lots of travel (if you're into that) Pay is better than governmental which I eventually went to There used to be time in the summer to relax but many offices started pushing for excessive summer work as well. I've been out for awhile so I'm not sure if that changed. It's a well known company and it's good to come in, do two years, and move onto something long term.

Cons

Lots of travel (if you have a life outside of work) Pay isn't so good if you figure out your per hour rate (and counting all hours really worked, not just hours booked) They promote work life balance but in reality it all comes down to getting the work done. At first you can pull off a balance until they see that you're handling things alright and then dump more on you. Eventually the balance isn't there anymore. That's when many, like myself, move on.
