Pros
They really mean it when they promote a work-life balance. As an employee, I get the feeling that management really does care about me and isn't just giving me lip service. The salary is VERY fair. The benefits are head and shoulders above anything I've ever had anywhere else. There is good communication from upper management all the way down the line. They make you feel like you are a part of something, not just a cog. Everyone WANTS you to succeed and really do look our for you; not just how to get ahead themselves.
As cynical as I am about company events, round tables, town hall meetings, and other type events; I still truly appreciate that they are there. For me, it doesn't matter what is said at these meetings, it's the fact upper management is taking the time to say it. The message isn't as important as the fact that they take the time to deliver it themselves. The gesture is more important than the message.
At RSM they expect a lot...but they give a lot in return.
There is a hierarchy in the company, but it never feels like a monarchy.
Cons
RSM is a big company, and sometimes it REALLY feels that way - especially when you are trying to deal with HR or get your time straight. It's not really a downside, it is what it is.
