Rapidly Declining - Disengagement is Rapidly Becoming the Norm
Pros
- It's not the worst place I've worked.
Cons
- Recurring Layoffs - Constant requests to do "extras" like training and internal initiatives with no billable target relief/credit -Poor Raises and Bonuses -Dishonest Leadership Basically this place has gone from being truly a unique player in the consulting/tax/audit space to just being like all the others in the Becker era. RSM used to be the place you went with the implicit understanding you would get less pay for a better work-life balance, but now they just pay poorly. I used to work with lots of really talented individuals, but most have left or are checked out and coasting. It's actually impressive how much damage has been done to the place in such a relatively short period of time. However, I really think the nail in the coffin for me and a lot of others I have spoken with has been the layoffs. They blatantly lie and claim they are making "performance cuts" every 6 months or so only to hire overseas resources. Most people have stopped going beyond the minimum because the cuts come for everybody. Morale is in the dumpster.
