Pros

Unfortunately, there are few positives left in what the company has become. Many of the talented and experienced employees who once shaped its culture have since moved on. While there are still some highly capable individuals within the business, they tend to be stretched thin and over-relied upon due to ongoing resource constraints.

Cons

Culture The company’s overall culture and values feel inconsistent. Team culture varies significantly depending on individual managers, with limited alignment across the business. There’s a lack of innovation, and internal politics often hinder collaboration and productivity. Leadership Senior leadership appears more focused on meeting investor expectations than building a sustainable, employee driven organization. This has created an environment where accountability is unclear and challenges are often met with blame rather than solutions. Strategy What Strategy? The company’s strategic direction lacks stability. Go to market approaches frequently shift, and the technology roadmap, particularly in the public cloud area, seems reactive to competitors rather than focused on differentiation or innovation. Compensation Base salaries are competitive, but variable compensation is unpredictable. Commission calculations are handled centrally, and there have been multiple instances of changes to formulas or policies without prior communication. When discrepancies occur, employees are often left to resolve them individually, with minimal local support. Every commissioned employee has stories of commission being withheld within 12 months of employment. Work Life Balance As with many sales roles, long hours and customer commitments are expected. However, there’s limited recognition of this effort from leadership. Setting healthy boundaries can sometimes be perceived negatively, potentially affecting perceptions of commitment. Enablement & Development Support for professional growth and enablement is minimal. Requests for training or development are often viewed as performance issues rather than opportunities for improvement. Most available training is focused narrowly on product knowledge and transactional sales tactics. Market Position & Future Outlook The company struggles to innovate. Many “new” offerings are incremental updates or rebranded versions of existing solutions. Without meaningful differentiation or cultural change, its position in the market and long-term prospects do not look possitive.
