Pros

Great leadership demonstrated from managers and above, fast pace of work and clear vision of the brands and where the company wants to go. Very true to its core values, if you can demonstrate those you will thrive!

Cons

Work load is high, some functions are 'siloed' still despite many restructures

Pros

A lot of exposure to the workings of an FMCG and OTC Medicines provider.

Cons

Staff are under appreciated. They sell the fast paced, dynamic environment in the interviews saying that you have to take things on for yourself which is fine, but there is so little in the way of guidance and structure. There's so much pressure to meet deadlines, that staff work well beyond their contracted hours without recognition because "that's the culture". Job / career progression is minimal at best. You have to wait for someone to leave or die before you can even contemplate moving up the ladder. Even then you're likely to be beaten by someone recruited from outside of the organisation. Pay scales are not clearly defined either, so if you're considering employment here, but sure to get a full understanding of this before you sign anything. RB states that it prefers "Speed Over Perfection" which doesn't make any sense. Getting it right the first time would mean less time going backwards to correct the mistakes. Working frequently with external companies, some of these "speedy" documents are quite embarrassing. Staff turnover is high, and there is no will to retain talented people, so they simply take the acquired knowledge to other organisations and competitor brands. Departments restructure on a whim, and the staff don't always feel like their jobs are secure. The communication of the restructures are incredibly poor, so staff don't always know until the last minute if their job, department or location will change. In general, a terrible work / life balance.
